Allpensteuck

The third night we were in Germany we decided it was time to test out the local cuisine. So what did we Americans do? We asked our concierge to recommend a classic German restaurant. What did we get? A modern take on German food. Was it good you ask? Oh yes, delicious.

We went to a restaurant called Allpensteuck. It was really good. We were surrounded by young Germans. Let me give you a little hint when traveling, whenever you’re surrounded by young locals (are you getting the distinction here, young is key… they’re much cooler) than you know you’ve hit city jackpot.

Spaetzle noodles AKA German mac and cheese

Apple Strudel AKA German apple pie
Highlights of that Night Include:
1) The yummy German Mac and Cheese (I can’t divulge the secret, sorry peeps)
2) STRUDEL (you all know how I feel about desserts)
3) Going out to dinner with a wonderful family friend
4) Seeing a really cute area on the way to the restaurant
