Mint

I saw this skirt in J. Crew… it was a whopping $188.00. My solution? Wait until the skirt hit the sale section and then purchase it with their extra 30 percent off promotion. Lo and behold, the skirt was mine for a mere 40 something dollars. Ah, gotta love J. Crew. I absolutely love the […]

@shopclarev

I have always been a fan of Clare Vivier and I became even more enamored with the brand after viewing their Instagram.  It’s a little early to start writing down my Christmas list but I’m pretty confident it will begin with a Clare Vivier bag.  *All photographs taken from Clare Vivier.

Da' Blues

So I don’t actually have the blues but I’m wearing all blue! I definitely overuse this shirt but I can’t help it, it goes with so much. The two shades of blue are just different enough that this outfit works. The neon orange elastic waste breaks up the outfit perfectly. I saw this skirt last […]

The Light Between the Oceans

The book drew me in from the first page.  I was very attached to the characters – particularly Isabel, one of the protagonists of the novel. Tom Sherbourne, Isabel’s husband, is a lighthouse keeper in Australia. Isabel lives with Tom on the island of Janus – they try to have children but have multiple miscarriages. Everything […]

Little Havana

Listen, you do not go north of Miami for the food.  But a girl’s gotta eat. (and I like good food). So the Yelp Gods worked their magic and we found Little Havana, a delicious Cuban restaurant in Aventura.  The chicharron was out of this world. Everything else was good, but did not live up to […]

Cutting for Stone

Remember when I professed my love for Howard Roark? Well, I think I’ve met my next fictional match. I just finished Cutting for Stone and it was an absolutely stunning novel. I’m beyond pleased to say that it exceeded my expectations.  Ghosh, is one of my favorite characters in a long time. He has that same […]

Good

I brunch. I brunch a lot.  So much so, some might say it’s an occupation.  So when I find a good brunch place, you know it’s good.  You know what else is great?  This place is even named Good. (I love it). I think Good had me at the pastry basket.  I’m a sucker for […]

20th Annual Street Painting Festival

On Sunday, my cousin took me to a unique street fair in Lake Worth.  I’ve seen some great chalk art in NYC, but the subjects of these paintings were so much more fun!  I think I enjoyed seeing all the Disney movies etched onto the sidewalk more than my two year old nephew.
